Nissa’s journey through Montessori’s writings

photo

I received my Montessori training in 2004-2005, receiving certification in Early Childhood and Elementary I. In 2009, I changed careers; however, I continued to apply Montessori philosophy throughout my own educational pursuits and relished  opportunities to discuss educational philosophy with others. In 2014, I accepted a position as Admissions Director at Woodinville Montessori School. Now I have the opportunity to talk about Montessori philosophy on a daily basis, helping parents decide if Montessori education would benefit their child.

In an effort to dive deeper into the philosophy, I have decided to undertake a blog that would focus directly on Maria Montessori’s writings. I will be rereading her work with a new perspective. I am excited to see where this journey will lead and how my own thoughts develop throughout the daily exposure to her writings. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
